  • 2 pounds beef steak (sirloin or chuck)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 4 large potatoes (peeled and diced)
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (divided)
  • 1 cup diced onion
  • 1 cup corn (fresh or frozen)

Instructions

  1. Season bite-sized pieces of beef steak with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  2. Layer diced potatoes and onions in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  3. Add seasoned beef on top of the potatoes and onions.
  4. Sprinkle fresh or frozen corn over the beef.
  5. In a bowl, mix beef broth, heavy cream; pour over layers in slow cooker.
  6. Cook on low for 6–8 hours or high for 4–5 hours until tender.
  7. About 30 minutes before serving, sprinkle with 1½ cups cheddar cheese; cover to melt.
  8. Stir gently before serving; garnish as desired.
