  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs, at room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened for frosting
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 3 ½ cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Steep the chamomile tea bags in hot water for about 10 minutes to infuse flavor.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Cream the softened butter and sugar in a separate bowl until fluffy.
  5. Add eggs one at a time along with vanilla extract; mix well.
  6. Gradually add dry ingredients and brewed tea alternately into the butter mixture until just combined.
  7. Fill cupcake liners two-thirds full with batter and bake for 12-16 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool completely before frosting with honey-infused buttercream.
