  • 2 teaspoons instant yeast
  • 1 teaspoon fine sea salt
  • 1/3 cup whole milk, room temperature
  • 1/3 cup heavy cream
  • 1 large egg, room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla paste or extract
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Prepare the peach filling by combining cubed peaches with sugar, lemon juice, cornstarch, and water. Let it sit.
  2. In another bowl, mix warm water, bread flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. Add milk, cream, egg, tangzhong, and vanilla; knead until soft.
  3. Allow dough to rise in a greased bowl until doubled in size (about an hour).
  4. Roll out the dough into a rectangle and spread softened butter before adding the peach filling.
  5. Roll tightly into a log shape and cut into pieces. Place cut-side-up in a greased baking dish.
  6. Let rolls rise again until puffy (about 30 minutes).
  7. Bake at 350°F for about 30 minutes until golden brown.
