  • 1 lb extra lean ground beef
  • 5 garlic cloves
  • 1/2 onion
  • 1/2 cup parsley
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon seven spice (or allspice)
  • 2 tablespoons pomegranate molasses
  • Olive oil (for brushing and cooking)
  • 4 round pitas

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) if baking.
  2. Finely chop the garlic, onion, and parsley, or pulse in a food processor.
  3. In a bowl, mix ground beef with chopped vegetables, salt, spices, pomegranate molasses, and olive oil until well combined.
  4. Cut each pita in half and open to form pockets. Stuff each with about 1.5–2 tablespoons of the meat mixture.
  5. Brush the outside of each stuffed pita with olive oil before baking or grilling until crispy.
